Barley Mushroom Bake
Today we are taking a delicious deep dive into one of my absolute favorite pantry grains — pearl barley. If you’ve been looking for a budget-friendly, comforting, nutrient-dense grain that adds versatility to your everyday meals AND your preparedness pantry… this is one you don’t want to skip.

Barley Mushroom Bake
Ingredients
- 1 clove garlic
- 4 oz or more of mushrooms
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 cup pearl barley
- 2 cups broth (any flavor, beef, chicken or veg)
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350F
- Place all ingredients into oven safe dish, mix and cover. Bake for 1 hour
- Let rest for a few minutes and enjoy.
