In a bowl, add the warm water, yeast and sugar. Let sit for about 15 minutes to allow it to bloom.
Add in 1/2 of the flour, the salt, the cinnamon and shortening. Mix
Add in the raisins and remaining flour. Mix until completely incorporated. If too dry, add a table spoon more of water.
Grease the sides of your bread baker
Place dough in baker and cover with a towel until it rises to the top of the baker. This can take an hour or more depending on temperature, humidity and such.
Once the bread has risin to at least the rim of the baker, place the baker in a cold oven.
Turn the oven on to 350 degrees
Bake for 40 minutes
Carefully remove the bread from the baker and place on a wire rack to cool before slicing.
If you want to ice the bread, wait approximately 15 minutes before adding the icing to the top.
