Ingredients
- 4 cups old fashioned rolled oats
- 1 1/2 cups nut of your choice
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp dried orange peel or the zest of one large orange
- 1 tsp fine sea salt
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup maple syrup or honey
- 1 cup dried cranberries
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350F
- Mix all ingredients except cranberries. Mix well.
- Place ingredients, except cranberries, onto a parchment lined baking sheet. Spread evenly. If you prefer big peices of granola, use a second sheet of parchment paper and press entire batch firmly, compressing as much as you can.
- Bake for 20 minutes if you choose honey, 25 if you choose maple syrup.
- If you prefer big pieces of granola, use the same sheet of parchment and press the cranberries into the cooked granola before it cools down, then let it sit 2 hours or longer. Break into pieces and store in an air tight container. If you prefer lose granola, mix cranberries into the granola once it has cooled down. Place granola into an air tight container once completely cooled. Good for 1-2 weeks, but it probably wont last that long because its so good!
