Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 10oz can rotel
  • 1 15oz can pinto beans
  • 1 cup hard red wheat

Instructions
 

  • Put oil in a pan, add onions and garlic. Saute until soft. Then add spices, stir and add 1/4 broth to deglaze.
  • Add remaining broth, rotel, and beans, stir well
  • Add Hard Red Wheat and combine.
  • Cook on medium heat until berries are tender.
